Summary

This research project aims to explore the impact of digital game-based learning on skill development for vocational education in early childhood. Vocational skills refer to the essential knowledge and practical abilities required in technical and professional fields, including specialized knowledge, hands-on skills, problem-solving abilities, innovative thinking, communication and collaboration skills, as well as strong work ethics and attitudes. With technological advancements, digital games have become essential tools in early childhood education. The study will analyze how different types of digital games facilitate the development of these skills in young children. A digital learning game specifically designed for young children will be developed, followed by empirical research conducted in kindergartens to assess the game’s effects on children’s motivation and skill development. The anticipated outcome of this research is to provide empirical evidence that enhances early recognition and interest in vocational-related skills among young children.

Introduction

In the context of rapid technological advancements, digital games have emerged as significant tools in early childhood education. This research project aims to investigate how digital games can enhance young children’s understanding and development of vocational skills. Vocational skills encompass essential knowledge and practical abilities required in technical and professional fields, including specialized knowledge, hands-on skills, problem-solving abilities, innovative thinking, communication and collaboration skills, as well as strong work ethics and attitudes. By designing digital learning games specifically tailored for early learners, we hope to effectively increase their motivation and practical abilities during the learning process. This study will thoroughly analyze the impact of the game on children’s learning, aiming to provide concrete recommendations for the vocational education center to foster children’s interest in future learning.
