Abstract

To facilitate a seamless connection between vocational education and industry, this project focuses on developing technology-assisted teaching strategies to enhance key workplace skills and technological literacy for college students, graduate students, and working professionals. We analyze the essential skills required in the workplace, including problem-solving, decision-making, strategic planning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, innovation, leadership, international perspective, and respect for multiculturalism. Additionally, the project emphasizes the practical application of technology in solving workplace problems and aims to develop relevant courses, industry-academia cooperation mechanisms, and technology-assisted teaching frameworks.

The core of this project is to integrate professional disciplinary skills with actual workplace needs by designing simulated scenarios for workplace problem-solving exercises to enhance students’ practical abilities. We explore the use of emerging technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and remote synchronous tools, combined with high-motivation strategies like gamification, situational learning, and flow-oriented activities, to promote learning transfer and bridge the gap between education and industry.

Furthermore, the project will collaborate with teacher communities and industries to develop digital technology-integrated teaching strategies, implementing workplace skill development in industry-academia alignment, and further enhancing national competitiveness.
