Three Professors from EVERC Honored with the “Future Tech Award”
Three professors from the Empower Vocational Education Research Center (EVERC) — Dr. SuFen Chen, Dr. Kuan-Yu Chen, and Dr. Hou-Chiang Tseng — were honored with the “Future Tech Award” at the award ceremony of the 2025 Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) – Future Tech Pavilion on October 18.
The Future Tech Award is jointly organized by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the Academia Sinica, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. As one of the highlights of the Taiwan Innotech Expo, the award aims to recognize cutting-edge research achievements and encourage the transformation of innovative technologies with market potential.
The 2025 Future Tech Award attracted more than 500 technology submissions, from which 83 breakthrough innovations were selected, showcasing Taiwan’s strong capacity for scientific research and cross-disciplinary innovation. The research project — “Intelligent Oral Presentation Assistance System”
— stood out among the numerous entries, demonstrating exceptional creativity and contribution in the field of AI-driven educational applications.
This recognition not only affirms the research team’s excellence in integrating AI technologies with educational practices but also highlights EVERC’s commitment to advancing smart education, industry-academia collaboration, and innovation in vocational education. Moving forward, the Center will continue to deepen the application of AI in teaching and learning, promote impactful research outcomes, and expand its international visibility in the field of educational technology.
