Subsidy of Attending Conference Abroad

EVERC has established funding to support EVERC researchers and graduate students in attending conference abroad

in order to enhance the international academic exchange.

Information (Subject to Guideline)

  • Application Date
    1. Rolling admission, the application might be ended early when the funding is used up.
    2. The latest date of application submission is the first day of the month prior to the first day of the conference. In case of regular holidays, it will be postponed to the next business day. Applications will not be accepted if they are overdue or if the documents are incomplete or are not complied with the regulations.
    3. EVERC currently does not accept applications for conferences held in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau.
  • Qualifications of Applicants (Must meet the following five qualifications)
    1. EVERC will select applicants whose research interests are related to vocational Education or digital learning.
    2. Graduate students and postdoctoral of EVERC. Graduate students who are required to enroll this semester.
    3. Applicants must also apply the subsidy from NSTC. If the NSTC grant is approved, EVERC may provide partial support based on factors such as the level of the conference and paper content. The actual amount will be determined upon review, with a maximum limit of 50% of the NSTC grant.
    4. Those who have already applied for NSTC funding within the same year and are therefore ineligible to apply again are not excluded from this subsidy; however, proof of previous NSTC application must be provided.
    5. Each person may receive this subsidy only once per year. Those who have already received funding in the same year are not eligible to reapply.
  • Application procedure and required documents
    The applicants should be recommended by their supervisors or instructors. All documents should be combined into one PDF file. The applicants must fill in the application form on the website, then submit the application documents in person to the EVERC office. Here are required documents as followings:
    1. Application form.
    2. Acceptance letter of the conference.
    3. Full paper (first published and each paper is only allowed to apply subsidy once).
    4. Any supportive documents that may be helpful for the evaluation (e.g., transcripts, certificates of foreign language proficiency, records of relevant publications or awards, etc.).
